About Patten Lumbermen's Museum
The Patten Lumbermen's Museum was established to document Maine’s rich logging history, preserving the heritage and accomplishments of the early inhabitants of Maine. The museum showcases some of the most notable contributions to the early mechanization of logging, including exhibits featuring the Lombard Steam Hauler, Lombard Gas Hauler, and the Peavey Cant Dog. Visitors can explore these historic artifacts and gain a deeper appreciation for Maine’s lumber industry.
