About the Mount Kineo Snowshoe Adventure
This guided winter hiking experience is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a challenge and a chance to immerse themselves in Maine’s winter beauty. Participants will meet at Rockwood Town Landing, where we’ll prepare to walk across the frozen expanse of Moosehead Lake to reach Mount Kineo’s trailhead. From there, we’ll ascend through scenic snow-laden forests, navigating trails that may require some trail-breaking. The reward? Breathtaking views from the summit fire tower, where you can soak in the majestic winter landscape.
