Supporting Adaptive Sports in Maine

Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation is dedicated to providing free, year-round adaptive sports programs for individuals with physical disabilities, visual impairments, and other challenges. Through specialized instruction, state-of-the-art adaptive equipment, and a strong community of volunteers, the organization helps participants build confidence and enjoy the great outdoors. From skiing and snowboarding in the winter to cycling, paddling, and golf in the summer, Maine Adaptive ensures that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of movement and adventure.

The Annual Ski-A-Thon is the organization’s largest fundraiser, generating critical funds to support instruction, adaptive equipment, and program expansion. Every dollar raised goes directly toward increasing recreational access for adaptive athletes across Maine, making a profound impact on their lives.

How You Can Get Involved

Whether you’re an experienced skier, a dedicated supporter, or a business looking to make a difference, there are multiple ways to participate:

  • Form a Team & Fundraise – Gather friends, family, or colleagues to ski, ride, and raise funds for adaptive sports programs. No skiing experience is necessary—just a passion for supporting an incredible cause!

  • Become a Sponsor – Gain valuable exposure while making a meaningful impact. Sponsorship opportunities help fund adaptive sports programs, ensuring that participants have access to the best resources and training.

  • Donate – Not hitting the slopes? You can still contribute by making a direct donation. Every gift, big or small, helps expand recreational access for individuals with disabilities.
